Palekana Safeguarding & Practice Governance for Counsellors
Safeguarding with confidence. Protecting what matters most.
Palekana exists to make safeguarding practical, approachable and effective.
For a private practice counsellor, safeguarding responsibilities can feel overwhelming. Legislation changes, guidance evolves, and knowing exactly what is expected can be difficult when you're already managing day-to-day demands; providing clear, evidence-informed safeguarding consultancy that helps private practice counsellors move beyond compliance towards confident, embedded practice.
My support is designed to be practical rather than overwhelming. I offer policy reviews, audits, consultation, safeguarding supervision, training, designated safeguarding lead (DSL) support, subscription services, and a growing library of resources to help organisations build safer environments for the people they serve.
The name Palekana means safe, secure and protected—a principle that sits at the heart of everything we do.
Whether you need one-off advice or ongoing safeguarding support, we're here to help you create systems that are robust, proportionate and centred on people.
Clear guidance. Practical solutions. Safer organisations.
